What a great festival it was this year – thank you to all those who came. We hope to be back again next year – at the wonderful Rippledown Centre near Deal in Kent – and provisional dates are from Friday 28 until Monday 31 July (2017), so make an entry in your organiser or diary now. We hope you can come.
And for anyone who hasn’t been
The idea of the festival is to provide a space where people can explore and express their creative potential in an atmosphere of trust and support. All festival-goers are encouraged to participate and contribute – there is no divide between ‘performers’ and ‘audience’.
There is always an exciting array of events for adults and children – from cookery workshops to calligraphy, men and women’s groups to open mic sessions, political debates, children’s crafts, drama, treasure hunts, and whatever participants bring. The schedule is created each year based on participants’ contributions.
Everyone, including the organisers, volunteers their time freely and the result is a fantastic rich mix of workshops and entertainment. People discover hidden talents. Children love the free space, and parents benefit from their children’s freedom, allowing them to participate in the events.
